Hi, I’m Tracy Baker.

It all began with Anne of Green Gables. My first copy has all the signs of being read hundreds of times. It has bent corners marking the breaks between reading sessions, worn edges from being carried everywhere and of course, tiny flower petals pressed between the pages.

My childhood self would never have believed the simple habit of picking flowers and putting them in the pages of my favourite books would become what it is today.

Based in Northern Ontario, I spend my days doing what I love, making jewelry pieces that hopefully touch the nostalgic part in all of us. When I’m not at the studio, I’m home with my 2 kids, dogs and carpenter husband (who so kindly develops all of my display pieces!).

Reading is still one of my beloved hobbies and yes I still read Anne every few years, although there is a lot more sci-fi and fantasy in the TBR pile these days.

Yellow House has been many things over the years, but I’m most excited for what it has evolved into. Thank you for being here.

My Approach

What began as a childhood hobby has evolved into something more. What sets YH apart isn’t just my process, it’s the intention behind each piece. I primarily make pieces that I would feel great wearing and hope my supporters feel the same.

Foraged In The North

From hand picking flowers on walks with my children, to carefully pressing them in one of my many presses, my process is a love letter to Northern Ontario and a way to keep home with me wherever I go.

Created With Nature In Mind

Many flowers come from my own garden that is filled to the brim with wildflowers for the pollinators. I try my best to ensure native species are mainly represented.
