YELLOW HOUSE

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS.

As a maker of many things, I tend to get asked for more info about some of the things I do. Take a peek below and see if it answers yours!

More questions? Just ask me!

  • I do! 90% of my pieces are all handmade with a select few that I wholesale from suppliers to go with my vibe and brand.

  • Yes! That said, during the holiday season I don’t have the capacity to take on custom jewelry pieces. Otherwise, pop me an email and we can create something beautiful together!

  • I can not comfortably claim everything is entirely hypo-allergenic as folks can have a reaction to almost anything.

I do strive to source only gold plated or stainless steel pieces for any posts/hooks etc. It’s rare that I’ve had an issue but if it ever does happen, please get in touch!

  • I periodically open up a couple spots for custom illustration work. It’s truly one of the joys of my job to create artwork for folks and I can only take on a few at a time to ensure the best quality and care is paid to each!

  • As a one woman show with two kiddos, I can only open the shop periodically when a new collection is ready. I always launch to my newsletter folks first, so be sure to sign up!

  • Absolutely! In the new year I will be opening up space for folks to book Polymer Clay Jewelry workshops for anything from birthday parties to bachlorettes! Be sure to sign up for my newsletter for more info!

  • At this time, my workshops are designed for folks 14+ in mind. I can occasionally accommodate younger folks with a guardian to help them stay on track.

I do hope to offer polymer clay classes for kids in future though! I love making little creatures with my son and their creativity is boundless!

  • No matter how careful you are, brass will always tarnish over time.

A funny but fantastic tip for cleaning up your brass: soak it in KETCHUP! The acids in the ketchup will break down any tarnish and you can wipe it clean.

Otherwise you can purchase a brass polish and that will do the trick too!

  • Shipping is one of the most difficult parts of running a small business! I design my packaging in a way that allows me to ship letter mail to reduce the exponential cost of shipping for both myself and you!

That said, once a package leaves my hands, I have no control over how long it will take to arrive even within the same city. Sometimes it’s a couple days, others it’s a couple weeks!

If an order truly doesn’t arrive after a long period of time, just pop me an email and we can work out a solution.
